Dr. Dana Arreola is the Superintendent of Schools for the Gonzales Independent School District. She officially became part of the Apache family in April 2025 and has since dedicated herself to the students, employees, and the entire Gonzales community. 

She brought with her a proven track record of academic excellence, community engagement, and a passion for fostering environments where students and staff thrive. Throughout her career, she has worked to build cohesive teams, develop leadership pipelines, and strengthen community relationships. She has led initiatives that prepared in-house staff for leadership roles, coached district leaders and principals to improve accountability ratings, and successfully secured grant funds for educational programs. Dr. Arreola believes that leadership is a collective responsibility and that true progress comes from collaboration with all stakeholders.

Originally from Houston, Texas, Dr. Arreola has deep ties to Texas. She holds a Master's degree in Educational Administration, a Master's degree in counseling, and a Doctorate of Education.

She is married to Eric, and they have three children: Darrell, Devin, and Eric Jr.
