Hi, my name is Audra Holifield.  I am the Special Education Counselor and Section 504 Coordinator.  It is an honor to work at GHS.  Please know I am committed to doing all I can to ensure students are successful in earning their high school diploma and that they are also successfully prepared for life after high school, whether that is attending a college/university, learning a trade, or entering the workforce. 

I graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor’s degree in English and Sam Houston State University with a Master’s degree in school counseling.  I have been in the education business since 1992, and I have taught English at the 7th and 12th grade levels, as well as every grade in between. I have also spent time as a counselor at both the junior high and high school levels.

I believe educating students must be a team effort which includes the student, the teachers, and the parents.  It is my goal to support all of these team members so that each student is able to reach his or her greatest potential.  Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns.
